Noted Canadian drum group Cree Confederation won the Northern Drum Championship title at the Annual Spotlight 29 Casino Pow-Wow on December 11th-13th, 2009.  Competing against many fine Northern drum groups, Cree Confederation managed to win the drum judges over with their supercharged singing and creative songmaking skills.  The Cree Confeds also made a recording with Canyon Records during the Pow-Wow.  Their championship performance will be released in Spring 2010.  Please check the Canyon Records website for further information.
